This page contains Training Resources for different level of runners. I believe everyone is a runner but to run a Marathon distance without getting injured one should properly train and build necessary endurance and strength to successfully complete the distance.
For training and race pace calculations I would suggest using McMillan Pace Calculator. I am a certified McMillan Running Coach and personally like Coach Greg McMillan's running philosophy.
Key to running success is to stay injury free. So, listen to your body and always err on the side of caution (I know its hard especially when you in the moment and want to log that extra mileage or run at particular pace) but try and prioritize recovery over stress.
